Director of Construction Management, Kaiser Permanante
Ray Lota is the director of construction management at Kaiser Permanente. In his role, he is responsible for providing construction oversight and support to all major projects with externally-sourced general contractors in Southern California. He has 20 years of both architectural design and general contracting experience. Prior to joining Kaiser Permanente in July 2017, he was a project manager for Turner Construction Company with a focus on healthcare construction for almost 12 years. He was involved with the ground-up UHS Henderson Hospital in Nevada, a project with high Lean intensity under a full IPD agreement completed in record 15 months. He has also completed multiple medical office buildings and tenant improvements within an operating hospital during his tenure. Prior to Turner, Ray practiced architecture at Fluor Corporation, Zimmer Gunsul Frasca, RTKL and Walt Disney Imagineering.
Ray holds a Bachelor of Architecture degree from the University of Southern California and is a Designated Design Build Professional and LEED Green Associate.
